Clown One Italia is a free non-profit, non-partisan apolitical association.
The origins
The name of the association – Clown One Italia – as well as the Clown One International project takes inspiration from dr. Patch Adams, founder of the Gesundheit! Institute. The purpose of the association is to provide social support activities in distressed regions of the world.

Mission
Clown One Italia exclusively pursues aims related to the promotion of solidarity, peace and social engagement through the following activities:

1. social/healthcare support activities;
2. charity work;
3. support activities for diseased children and their families and for individuals facing personal and social distress due to marginalization and poverty;
4. educational activities;
5. promotion of training activities attuned with the Association’s mission;
6. civil right protection for unprivileged and/or diseased individuals facing social personal and social distress due to marginalization and poverty

In order to pursue the above-mentioned objectives, the Association is entitled to cooperate on an autonomous basis with public and private bodies sharing similar goals. With regard to third-party partnerships, the Association may promote social welfare programs through business and economic activities as set forth in the Charter and provided for by law.

Activities
The activities promoted by Clown One Italia are designed around the following macro areas:

1. promotion of and participation in humanitarian missions;
2. promotion and organization of conferences, roundtables and debates on the topics of solidarity, conflict resolution, peace and transcultural projects in developing countries;
3. training courses/workshops for volunteers/clowns engaged in humanitarian missions;
4. theatre performance and photographic techniques and methodologies
